HYGIENE AND CARE: WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER WORK OUT BAREFOOT IN A PILATES STUDIO
đĄïž The invisible barrier between you and the floor
We love the freedom of feeling the ground beneath our feet, but the reality of fitness centers, yoga studios, and Pilates rooms is that they are high-traffic spaces. No matter how much cleaning is done, floors and machines are surfaces where sweat, skin debris, and microorganisms accumulate. Training barefoot unnecessarily exposes you to fungal infections (athlete's foot), plantar warts, or irritation from industrial cleaning chemicals.
At Feli Club, our mission is to take care of you. That's why we've designed a sock that feels like you're wearing nothing, but acts as a premium protective shield.
đ§Ș The science of hygiene at Feli Club
-
Natural vs. Synthetic Fibers: Combed organic cotton is naturally more hygienic than polyester or nylon. By allowing the foot to truly breathe, it prevents the warm, moist environment that bacteria love.
-
Moisture Management: Cotton absorbs sweat from the sole of the foot, preventing it from slipping inside the sock and, at the same time, preventing sweat from reaching shared mats.
-
Easy Maintenance: It's much more hygienic and eco-friendly to throw your socks in the washing machine after each class than to try to disinfect an open-pore mat that absorbs everything.
⊠Values you can feel
Hygiene is also a form of Mindful Movement. By protecting your feet, you are respecting your body and the space of others. Felisa's story teaches us that holistic well-being includes taking care of the most practical details. Training with Feli Club is choosing firmness, freedom, and balance, but it is also choosing health. Keep your feet spotless and your mind focused only on what matters: your practice.
